Shandaken Historical Museum

A visit to the Shandaken Historical Museum, housed in the former School District No. 10 Building, a 1925 structure appearing on the National Register of Historical Places, will reveal to you much of our illustrious history and local family genealogy.  The museum was established in 1989.

Programs of interest to Shandaken Township residents and tourists are frequently offered by the Museum.

During the fall season –

THE OLD GARAGE
Mohammed Husain opened his studio on Academy Street (on the right, just off Main Street)
to sculptors and artists from Pine Hill and beyond.
The show was originally part of the Shandaken Studio Tour, but sadly, may have closed today,
August 12. Attempts to keep this show open at least through Labor Day fell through.
But there will be more in the future.
A partial list of this year's artists' names and images of their work follow.

Let to right:  Manhee Bak, April Yakowitz and Lee Eskridge, April Yakowitz, (next row)
