2nd Pine Hill Steampunk Weekend

Some events-- musical, dance, costume, dinner-dance on Friday, brunch or lunch on Railroad in Arkville, concert at the PH Community Center. Children's component, fashion show in affiliation with dinner-dance. The 2nd Annual Pine Hill Steampunk Festival are Fri afternoon Oct 25, all day Sat Oct 26, and Sunday Oct 27 to 4:00PM. Bands: Mamalama, Boom Boom Shake, and "Play, Mars, and Francisco" Dancers: Badra Bahiya Dance Company back from last year, plus Elizabeth Muise solo dancer. Performing Master Classes/workshops (in addition to performing) given by Mamalama band members, and Elizabeth Muise Magician: back from last year Brian Foley Crazy Hat Lady "Wacky Wendy" back from last year Museum visits, Hamlet tours In the library 1) Henry Morton, 2) the history of Pine Hill, 3) (invited) Presentation on the Catskill Mountain Telegraph Company, 4) discussion session on the Catskill Mountain RR Live Action Role Playing (LARP) [sort of like a 3D Dungeons and Dragons] taking place inside and outside throughout the weekend
Registration at the festival requested so that we can build a mailing list. There is no entrance price aside from the suggested donation for the 3-day festival of $20, but people can donate as they see fit or are able. Children welcome, there will be children's events, especially on Saturday. |
